About the Opportunity:
We are looking for an enthusiastic intern to join our marketing team and provide creative ideas to help achieve our goals. You will have the opportunity to work in one of the following teams - the oncology team, cardiovascular team, respiratory team or the vaccines and infectious disease team.
You will work with our Marketing and Brand Managers who will mentor, guide and support you in your development. AstraZeneca offers a great team environment where you will learn and grow and gain broad experience in the pharmaceutical industry. As Marketing Intern you will help in developing and implementing marketing strategies.
Responsibilities include:
1. Assist in creating and implementing new campaigns (working closely with designers and getting materials approved internally)
2. Support brand teams in the development of digital and hard copy marketing materials (working closely with the creative agency and printers)
3. Support the marketing team with ongoing administrative tasks (e.g. managing promotional material requests, finance administration, calendar management)
4. Assist the marketing team in creating brand presentations
5. Help organise events (training, launches, team meetings, etc.)
6. Assist the team in the sponsorship and donations process
7. Analysis of market research and sales data
8. Support budget tracking
Qualification, Skills & Experience
Required:
- Currently undertaking an undergraduate or integrated master’s degree in Commerce, Marketing Practice/Business/Management with the opportunity to spend 1 year in industry starting in June 2025
- Interest in the Pharmaceutical Industry
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- Good communication skills
- Team player
- Excellent attention to detail
- Enthusiastic, creative, and motivated to learn
Desirable:
- Experience in digital marketing
