The Role
As Sales and Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting CLS’s commercial growth by driving lead generation, managing inbound and outbound sales activity, and delivering exceptional customer service. You will act as a key point of contact for clients; ensuring that their needs are met efficiently, professionally, and in alignment with CLS’s commitment to quality. This role requires a proactive, customer‑focused individual with strong communication skills and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Lead Generation

Manage inbound enquiries, qualify leads, and convert opportunities into sales.

Proactively conduct outbound sales activity to targeted customer segments and follow up on marketing campaigns.

Maintain and update the CRM system with accurate lead and pipeline information.

Work closely with the Business Development and Marketing teams to support sales initiatives and campaigns.

Support in the preparation of proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.

Customer Care Relationship Management

Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, ensuring timely responses and high‑quality service.

Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with customers through regular communication and follow‑up.

Handle customer queries, complaints, and service issues promptly and professionally, ensuring resolution to a high standard.

Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., Operations, Quality, Lab Teams) to ensure customer requirements are met.

Commercial Administrative Support

Support the wider commercial team with administrative tasks including documentation, reporting, and pipeline tracking.

Contribute to continuous improvement of sales and service processes to enhance customer experience.

Monitor market trends and customer feedback to identify new business opportunities or service improvements.

Where You’ve Come From

Proven experience in inside sales, customer service, or account management, ideally in a B2B environment.

Experience in or an interest in life sciences, or laboratory services sector is advantageous.

Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite required.
