For more than 100 years, Bon Secours Hospital has been meeting community needs and achieving breakthrough medical advances in care.As a result of continued growth, we have an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified and enthusiastic Scientist to join us as a Specialist Medical Scientist in our Immunocytochemistry and Special Stains Laboratory.**The ideal candidates must:*** **Must be a registered Medical Scientist with CORU.** (Applicants must provide evidence of registration by including your CORU certificate with your application.)* Have the required qualifications for a Specialist Medical Scientist post as stipulated by the Department of Health.* Possess four years’ experience in an Immunocytochemistry Laboratory as a Senior Medical Scientist.* Experience with INAB audits and EQA/IQC essential* Experience in verification and validation of ICC and special stain methodology is essential* Have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills* Be flexible and capable of working independently and as part of a team* Be innovative, enthusiastic, and self-motivated* **Must be eligible to work in Ireland and available to commence immediately****Informal inquiries** are welcome, please contact Sandra Murphy, Chief Medical Scientist, Histology at samurphy@bonsecours.ie**Closing date for applications is Tuesday 18th of November 2025.****Applications**for the above post are to be submitted online to Mandy O’Sullivan, Talent Acquisition Specialist.
