About the Job

Google's brand is only as strong as our users' trust--and their steadfast belief that our guiding principles are what's best for them. Our Trust and Safety team has the critical responsibility of protecting Google's users by ensuring online safety by fighting web abuse and fraud across Google products like Search, Maps, AdWords and AdSense. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic leader. You understand the user's point of view and are passionate about using your combined technical, sales and customer service acumen to protect our users. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google developers and Product Managers to navigate challenging online safety situations and handle abuse and fraud cases at Google speed (read: fast). Help us show quality on the Internet trumps all.

As a Trust and Safety Associate you defend the integrity of Google, its users, and partners worldwide by defining and communicating product policies, fighting spam, fraud, and abuse across Google products. You are proactive, motivated, organized, responsible, innovative--and able to work well in a fast-paced, global, cross-functional, and team-oriented environment while demonstrating technical know-how, effective communication and getting things done.

In this role, you will support Google Play Apps and Games business, and work with a portfolio of important app developers as they navigate Play policy compliance. You will be responsible for ensuring that titles maintain policy compliance as they evolve, so they are enabled to provide the best experience to Play store users. This will require you to gain expertise in the Play Console Policy Center, carefully review app content, make decisions, and communicate with third-party developers.

At Google we work hard to earn our users’ trust every day. Trust & Safety is Google’s team of abuse fighting and user trust experts working daily to make the internet a safer place. We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. A diverse team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.

Responsibilities

- Demonstrate expertise in determining apps comply with Google Play policies by reviewing the content of apps, data and in-app experience, when developers submit updates to apps hosted in the Play store.
- Make logical decisions about how to resolve issues with developers, even under time constraints.
- Create meaningful business partnerships, providing clear and helpful communications to developers. Find ways to help Google and third-party developers accomplish business goals while making and executing resolution plans ensuring the best Play store user experience.
- Manage the portfolio of developers, but also work as a team to optimize the App Review and Resolution processes.
- Work with sensitive content or situations and may be exposed to graphic, controversial or upsetting topics or content.
