Design Build Search is seeking an experiencedCivil Engineer to join our clients team based in West Dublin. Our client is a forward-thinking civil engineering company delivering high quality infrastructure projects across the civil and electrical engineering sectors in Ireland. About the Role: As a Civil Engineer, youll play a key part in coordinating on-site civil and electrical works. Youll support day-to-day project activities, help manage schedules and documentation, and work closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to keep everything moving in the right direction. Responsibilities Review project designs and drawings and assist with creating baseline programmes using Microsoft Project. Monitor schedules, track progress, and prepare clear updates and technical reports. Help identify risks, delays, and critical path activities, and assist with extension-of-time claims. Review project costs and highlight any variances, offering practical solutions when needed. Support identification of scope changes and contribute to discussions around additional costs. Prepare and issue the required project documentation in line with contract requirements. Provide technical support to on-site teams, including Site Agents, Supervisors, and QS staff. Assist with preparing RAMS, electrical safety procedures, and other HSEQ documentation. Carry out inspections and support site audits to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and electrical standards. Work collaboratively with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve design or coordination issues. Ensure electrical installations comply with statutory regulations and industry standards. Requirements: Experience as a Project Engineer within electrical engineering, utilities, or civil infrastructure. Solid understanding of electrical systems (power distribution, utilities, street lighting, infrastructure connections) and associated civil works. Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving approach. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project. Full driving licence.
