Thrive as a Hire Desk Manager at KDM Hire Ireland We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient operation of the hire process and contribute to the overall success of our company.

What you will do:

- Monitor depot hire stock levels and take action to balance stock as required.
- Take responsibility for the off-hire process including loss and damage procedures.
- Oversee the on-hire process, handle payments and manage associated paperwork.
- Build customer relations by phone and in person.
- Advise customers on the appropriate selection and proper use of equipment.
- Retail sales and merchandising a small shop, ensure full stock of products.
- Liaise with the transport team to help prioritise equipment delivery and collection.
- Liaise with the yard team to ensure prompt accurate off-hire information is made available.
- Process future hire reports to ensure all relevant departments are prepared in advance.

What you will need:

- Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
- Actively takes ownership of tasks and takes pride in their work.
- Strong IT and administrative skills.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment or a willingness to learn about different types of equipment and their applications.
