Le Meas Executive Search are delighted to partner with a Global Life Insurer to hire a Financial Reporting Accountant on an initial 6 month fixed term contract (FTC).
Key Responsibilities Support business units through the reporting process and review their submissions.
Support the preparation of statutory accounts including completing a technical review to ensure all reporting requirements are met and complete for year-end audit.
Support in the improvement of the financial reporting process, specifically relating to growing statutory and regulatory disclosure requirements.
Prepare and review templates and schedules to facilitate the consolidation process, including preparing consolidation journals, elimination, and group intercompany reconciliations.
Support the preparation of financial results, including completing analytical reviews of subsidiary accounts submissions within required deadlines.
Work to ensure that any points raised by internal or external audit are promptly resolved.
Support the design and maintenance of a Group Compliance and Internal Controls Framework encompassing the development and maintenance of the Group Accounting Manual, reporting templates and instructions for all subsidiary businesses.
Support in embedding the risk culture and control framework within Group Finance, including identifying risks and controls, and remedial actions to address all points.
Required Qualifications & Experience Qualified accountant (ACA, CA, CPA or ACCA) with 3+ years PQE.
Insurance industry experience preferred.
Group Reporting and Consolidation experience.
Excellent IFRS knowledge (preferably including IFRS 17 experience).
