OpenShift/ECS System Engineer

Overview We have one open position of DevOps Engineer with a client based in Dublin, Ireland. This is a permanent position.
Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid 3 days per week work from office)

Mandatory Certification: Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Application Development
Key Responsibilities Provide L3 support and troubleshooting for applications running on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.
Design, develop, and maintain deployment templates and containerized solutions.
Implement health monitoring and resolve issues across OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes environments.
Support CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Ansible, and Git.
Coordinate with multiple teams for application deployment, scaling, and integration.
Create and maintain technical documentation and share knowledge with support teams.
Core Skills Required Strong experience with OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes.
Hands-on with Unix Scripting (Shell, Ansible); exposure to Jenkins CI/CD.
Good knowledge of container orchestration and troubleshooting.
Experience with application deployment and monitoring in hybrid or cloud environments.
Nice to Have Exposure to Java/Python, SpringBoot, NodeJS applications.
Familiarity with messaging systems (ActiveMQ, Kafka).
Knowledge of Bitbucket, uDeploy, or similar version control/release tools.
Experience with Kafka/Confluent administration is a plus.
Awareness of capacity management, cost optimization, and automation in cloud/container setups.
