The Opportunity The NEC4 ECC Assistant Project Supervisor will provide support to the NEC4 ECC Project Supervisor in overseeing all construction assurance activities for the Scheme, ensuring that works carried out by the Design and Build Contractor are carried out efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with established standards, specifications, regulatory requirements and contract requirements. This may include assisting the NEC4 ECC Project Supervisor in representing the interests of the NTA and acting as an independent body to the NEC4 ECC Project Manager. The role may involve monitoring works, witnessing tests, checking compliance with the scope, and ensuring all works align with the quality defined in the scope and specifications documents.
As a NEC4 ECC Assistant Supervisor at Arup, you will:
Be required to have 5+ years’ experience in construction management/supervision on road/infrastructure projects including reinforced concrete structures. Land survey experience (setting out) is required.
Demonstrate experience and knowledge in delivering engineering solutions and results in dynamic urban environments while ensuring works are compliant with the Works Requirements and Road Specifications (desirable).
Responsibilities Support the NEC4 ECC Project Supervisor in overseeing construction assurance activities for the Scheme.
Assist in representing the interests of the NTA and act as an independent body to the NEC4 ECC Project Manager.
Monitor works carried out by Design and Build Contractors, witness testing, check compliance with the scope, and ensure alignment with defined quality standards.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (or equivalent).
Safepass accreditation is desirable.
Chartered / Incorporated / Associate Engineer of a relevant professional body is desirable.
Education And Qualifications Required to have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (or equivalent).
