Mercer is seeking candidates for an exciting opportunity in our Share Schemes Consulting Team. This is a senior analyst role and will offer the opportunity for a suitable candidate with around 2 years experience working in a financial services client services background to work closely with a senior, experienced consultant on some of our key share schemes clients. The successful candidate will be based in either our Cork or Dublin offices. We are a hybrid working organisation, with office attendance expected 3 day a week. What can you expect: This role within our Share Schemes Consulting team provides an excellent opportunity for someone to commence or progress their career in a thriving consultancy business. The Share Schemes Consulting Analyst will be part of a 17 person strong administration and consulting team specialising in Approved Profit Sharing Schemes (APSSs), an employee benefit in which Mercer is the leading provider in Ireland. The role involves assisting our senior consultants in managing and cultivating our APSS client relationships, while guiding clients around the technical and operational aspects of providing an APSS to employees through Mercer. Key attributes required of a successful applicant include the ability to acquire technical knowledge, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work closely in support of others and excellent time management and organisational abilities. Existing technical knowledge regarding APSSs is not a requirement and training will be provided. The workload has seasonal characteristics. A strong work ethic is required, particularly at the busier times of year. You will learn to: Provide consulting to corporate clients, including some of Irelands largest employers. With good performance and skills acquisition, advance a consulting career. Understand the technical aspects of providing an Approved Profit Sharing Scheme. Develop relationships with clients to achieve high standards of service. Assist in the provision of communications consulting advice to clients around their Approved Profit Sharing Schemes. Understand the inner workings of a consultancy organisation. Deliver and maintain professional and ethical standards of service to all business partners. Coordinate share scheme events with clients, colleagues and the share schemes administration team. What you will need to have: Specific prior experience is not required (though clearly it could be an advantage). Confident use of Microsoft Office. Ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues both face to face and over the telephone. Ability to prioritise a busy workload and adapt to client and colleague needs. A Can do and customer focused attitude, with willingness to extend working hours at key times of year. Ability to gain and apply knowledge. Clear verbal, written, numerical and communication skills. High level of accuracy/attention to detail. Ability to work within a team environment as a team player and a flexible approach to work. Third level qualification. Self-starter and continuous learner.
