High Salary ICT Estimator/ Designer

My client is a dedicated company of the ASEE Group, formed to deliver Technology expertise and high-end solutions to Data Centre Construction Projects and high spec ICT deployments throughout Europe. The company was created through discussions with clients, and their need to have better competition, quality and transparency in the marketplace for key services within hyperscale deployments, mini clusters or upgrades on existing sites. Due to continuous growth we look to hire ICT Estimator/ Designer to join the team permanently. Please note it s a remote position. We have a vacancy in Ireland, UK and Netherlands. Key Responsibilities: *The primary responsibility is to develop accurate and timely estimates, and submit competitive bids and proposals for the companys clients *Analyse and interpret detailed client requests, drawings and specifications to then determine and estimate truly value-engineered solutions or alternatives to project requirements *Attend pre and post tender bid meetings with clients and their representatives *Assist and support the business to meet their financial targets *Help to identify and develop potential new opportunities for work *Help to identify new suppliers and subcontractors to improve performance and profit *Manage the estimating team to ensure that tenders are accurately completed in accordance with the clients and Companys requirements. *Manage the estimating team to ensure all weekly and monthly reports are produced. *Offer support, guidance and mentoring to the Sales team where necessary. *Manage the teams workload to ensure sufficient time is allocated to produce accurate bids. *Effectively manage the pipeline to identify and win new contracts. *Review and write all PQQ submissions to the respective clients. *Manage all tender portals from various clients. *Write clear, concise and articulate tender proposals and clarifications. *Manage the submission of the tender, attending internal and external tender meetings with either the client or internal operations. *Ensuring the completion of all relevant and associated bid documentation, including presentations for the bid proposal are completed. *Liaise with the Commercial Director to ensure any tenders are indicative of our business Providing feedback to the relevant departments if either successful or unsuccessful with the bids. *Ensuring that work processes and models are adequately documented, validated and stored within a clear directory structure with complete version history. *Identify areas for systems and operational improvement within the team; implement and measure. *Reviewing existing pricing agreements to identify opportunities for enhancing current & future performance. *Building Client / Stakeholder relationships Qualifications and Training required: *You are currently working as an estimator or have started out in a role such as surveying assistant. *BTEC in Building Studies, Building Engineering or Building Management or a HNC / HND / Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management / Civil Engineering *RCDD, CDCDP or extensive data centre ICT experience preferable. *Membership of a relevant professional body may be beneficial for your career at Red Bear; Association of Cost Engineers (ACostE), which will require you to have studied for an engineering qualification. *Proven experience (5+ years) in cost estimating for infrastructure preferably in a managerial role *In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and industry standards *Proficiency in cost estimating software and tools. *Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. *Strong leadership and team management abilities ICT Designer/Estimator Responsibilities: *Lead and manage the estimating team, providing guidance, coaching, and training to ensure high-quality performance and adherence to company standards. *Oversee the entire estimating process, including the review of project requirements, drawings, specifications, and other relevant documents to prepare accurate cost estimates *Prepare and present detailed estimates, including labour, materials, equipment, subcontractor quotes, and other related costs, ensuring they align with project specifications and requirements *Conduct cost analysis and risk assessment to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and develop value engineering solutions. *Review and evaluate subcontractor bids, negotiate pricing, and establish relationships with reliable and cost-effective subcontractors and suppliers. *Collaborate with the procurement team to analyse and assess vendor proposals, contracts, and pricing agreements.
