Allied Fire Protection Ltd is a leading provider of Fire Protection equipment with a portfolio of public and private sector clients across Ireland. We specialize in the supply, installation, maintenance, and commissioning of fire alarm systems and emergency lighting – delivered by our team of highly qualified and experienced engineers and installers.
A new and exciting opportunity is available in the Cork/West Cork area for a Field Service Engineer. We are looking for a ‘Can Do’ motivated individual who is keen to join our progressive and growing company.

Requirements for the role include:
- Proven experience in the Fire Alarm Industry (desirable)
- Experience in working with Electronic/Electrical Systems
- Comfortable in climbing ladders and carrying equipment
- Proficient in MS Office and/or other software programs
- Familiarity with mobile tools and apps
- Full Clean Driving Licence
Servicing and Commissioning Fire Alarm protection equipment:
- Servicing and Commissioning equipment according to manufacturer's specifications.
- Testing system and analyzing any failures.
- Consulting with engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems in system operation and maintenance.
- Advising management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product and service improvements.
- Providing excellent customer service and customer support during field visits or when On Call
- Building positive relationships with customers and representing Allied Fire in a professional and trusted manner
- Managing all on-site service, maintenance, and test tasks as required to relevant standards
- Diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining solutions
- Carrying out preventative maintenance and making recommendations based on age of systems and equipment
- Producing timely and detailed service reports
- Cooperating with technical and field teams and sharing information across the company
- Understanding and anticipating customer requirements and making appropriate recommendations/briefings
- Providing feedback to management regarding customer requests, satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product improvements.
- Following all company’s Standard Operating Procedures and safe working practices
- Advising and reporting on change requests for documented processes
