Main Purpose of Role: Murphy are hiring an Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing team delivering renewable energy and HV/MV substation and cables projects across Ireland. Never Harm Develop knowledge in planning, managing and delivering works in a safe, controlled and environmentally sustainable manner. Ensure a strong culture for Never Harm is present on the project; actively promote engagement with the CDP programme. Ensure risk assessments are created, in place and reviewed regularly. Carry out all work in accordance with health and safety and any other legal requirements Key Responsibilities and Duties Design HV/MV substations and control/protection systems Produce drawings: SLDs, layouts, schematics Detailed design covering all aspects of High & Low voltage equipment and control and protection systems Preparation and interpretation of technical specifications and enquiry documentation Ensure compliance with design standards and client requirements Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders Complying with specific project safety requirements Assist with the preparation of technical and contract documentation for issue. Monitor progress against the program and issue progress reports. Prepare method statements and risk assessments. Accurate setting out of the works and dimensional control. Resolving technical problems at all levels. Qualifications & Skills Degree in Electrical Engineering 1+ years' experience working as an Electrical Engineer (desirable) Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and AutoCAD Good technical capabilities, teamwork abilities and initiative.
