Role Purpose: The purpose of this role is to grow the Online business and identify opportunities for growth, drive profitability sales across the Online business and oversee the management and continuous development of the business through the direction and motivation of the Online Management team. Ensuring strong disciplines including excellence in customer service are in place, implementation of plans and consistency of standards across the operation. This will be achieved through coaching the Online management and store-based teams to deliver annual targets set and key metrics, whilst ensuring best in class retail excellence standards are achieved. Role Scope: This role is based in Support Office Lucan reporting to the Sales Director. The role will oversee the Online operation in hub stores and assist the delivery of the Musgrave Retail Partners Ireland (MRPI) Growth Plan What youll be doing: Productivity/Efficiency Key Activities: Ensure that productivity at store level is maximised across the operation to include pick times delivery slots maximised and delivery turnaround times are met Report on metrics to key stakeholders Challenge underperformance of KPIs at store level providing support where appropriate Implement system improvements to improve our operational accuracy and efficiency Lead and drive continuous improvement across the Musgrave Retail Stores(MRS) Online business Sales: Key activities: Drive online sales across all Musgrave Retail Stores Complete and manage annual sales budgets in line with the growth strategy and MRPI Conduct analyses of sales data and identify sales opportunities for online Coach and support stores to develop local plans to focussed on increasing customer numbers and spend Work with stores for sales driving opportunities and to challenge under performance Manage the day to day of quick commerce and future rollout across Musgrave Retail Stores Work with the digital operations team to ensure the online range mirrors the instore experience Ensure that all online teams are trained to the required standard to always deliver service excellence Profitability Key Activities: Complete and manage annual cost budgets for MRS online with the finance team. Manage Online business to achieve margin budgets (Gross Profit margin and Net margin) Deliver labour cost plan for pickers, drivers and support office team Control overheads as per Annual Budget Deliver a lean and effective labour model for the Online business Oversee the day-to-day management of the MRS fleet with our partners Ensure the fleet is maintained so sales are maximised at a lowest cost Customer Service Key Activities: Understand CX data and feedback and ensure all issues are resolved in a timely manner Support Recruitment of online teams and continuous training of colleagues to ensure customer excellence is achieved Work with stores to understand the root cause of service issues and assist them in developing store plans to address. Achieve availability targets and ensure that stores have a clear understanding of the importance of good availability Develop a thorough understanding of the MOPI online customers expectations and identify effective solutions to deliver on their expectations Work with MRPI and Service desk partner in ensuring service excellence is achieved Business Development Key Activities: Identify opportunities to expand the Online Delivery service To Grow the Click and Collect Business to 25% of the online business Ensure stores and catchments are optimised in SV online stores Work with MRPI on the implementation of any new system upgrades for the online platform Expand the quick commerce functionality across MRS Develop a plan to reduce Carbon Emissions in MRS online Stakeholder Management Key Activities: Effective communication process in place between the Online team and dependant departments within support office Effective communication process between the Online team and third party agencies The creation of synergies between the Online team and key Online stakeholders within Musgrave Operating Partners Ireland (MOPI) and Musgrave Retail Partners Ireland (MRPI) Effective communication process in place between the Senior Online Manager and key stakeholders from the MOPI SMT Effective communication process in place between the Senior Online Manager and colleagues in MRPI Adhoc Key Activities: Develop and deliver an effective engagement plan to include quarterly updates and store based performance updates Develop and update store policies and procedures Complete regular store visits Ensure that equipment is maintained and in good working order i.e. handheld devices and PCs as required What were looking for: Essential Qualifications and skills: Retail Operational experience at Management Level minimum 5 years Excellent analytical skills with a particular focus on P&L management Experience in working in project management Experience in managing pilot initiatives and process mapping Commercial acumen and reporting skills Excellent communication & relationship management skills Full Clean Driving Licence is Required for this role ECDL or equivalent Strong Microsoft Excel, Work and PowerPoint Skills Strong communication Skills Good analytical skills Presentation Skills Time Management Skills Desirable Qualifications and Skills: A self-starter with strong drive, an appetite for hard work who demonstrates energy and an ambition to succeed Excellent analytical skills with a particular focus on P&L management Understanding and Experience of Ecommerce Retail 3rd Level Degree in Relevant Field Musgrave is an equal opportunities employer.
