THE ROLE Reporting to the Global Head of Transfer Agency, the Global Head of AML will drive the firm's global Investor Anti-Money Laundering program with a specific focus on AML risks across financial services operations. This executive role is responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive AML framework that ensures compliance with international regulations, mitigates financial crime risk, and protects the integrity of investor transactions and relationships. Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Governance Develop and execute a global AML strategy tailored to investor and financial services risk profiles. Guide global AML teams and coordinate with regional compliance officers to ensure consistent standards. Serve as a senior advisor to executive leadership on AML and financial crime matters. Investor AML Oversight Oversee AML controls related to investor onboarding, due diligence (KYC/EDD), and ongoing monitoring. Ensure robust screening processes for politically exposed persons (PEPs), sanctions, and adverse media. Collaborate with Investor Relations, Fund Operations, and Legal teams to ensure AML compliance across investor touch points. Be an engaged member of the firms investor AML risk governance committee. Regulatory Compliance & Engagement Monitor and interpret global AML regulations (e.g., FATF, EU AML Directives, SEC, FCA, MAS) relevant to investor activity. Direct regulatory examinations and audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses. Maintain strong relationships with regulators and industry bodies. Risk Management & Reporting Conduct AML risk assessments focused on investor profiles, jurisdictions, and transaction types. Oversee suspicious activity monitoring and reporting, including SAR/STR filings. Develop and present AML metrics, dashboards, and risk reports to senior stakeholders. Training & Culture Design Investor AML training programs for staff involved in investor onboarding and servicing. Promote a culture of compliance and ethical conduct across the organization. Technology & Innovation Partner with technology teams to enhance AML systems, including transaction monitoring and screening tools. Evaluate and implement advanced analytics and automation to improve AML effectiveness and efficiency. Skills and experience: The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of 10 years of Investor AML experience in financial services (preferably gained in asset servicing, asset management, hedge funds or wealth management). Demonstrate deep understanding of global AML regulations and investor due diligence requirements Knowledge of fund structures, investor onboarding processes and cross border AML considerations Proven leadership experience managing global teams and complex compliance programs Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Strategic mindset, champion a hands on approach to operational execution High ethical standards and commitment to regulatory excellence Professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
