Director - Accounting & Finance Recruitment - Previously a Qualified Accountant
I am working with a well-established and exciting business in the renewable energy, utilities, and wider energy sector. They are driving change in the zero‑carbon space, so it has an ESG slant. With a gold‑standard finance team, this role will suit a high‑calibre Finance Manager/Controller looking to manage a small team of four.
Responsibilities
Ownership of the month‑end process for all UK and Irish entities
Ensure all reconciliations within the wider team are correct
Produce variance analysis with commentary for the board
Plan and coordinate the audit filings and process
Excellent controls and framework for journals, recs and documentation
Work on an ERP migration and implementation
Work with the CFO and the FD on current and future financial decision‑making
Lead a small team, help them develop and grow
Work on commercial deals and initiatives

Profile
4+ years PQE Accountant
Proven ability to manage a team
Excellent technical accounting ability
Strong with compliance – Statutory and tax
On Offer
12‑month contract with a view to permanent
Circa €90k, 20% bonus, 10% pension and VHI
3 days in the office
