Bon Secours Hospital Galway has undergone significant development in recent years with expansion of the main hospital and more recently the development of a new state-of-the-art Interventional Cardiology Suite, a third Endoscopy Suite and the development of a new sterile stores state of the art facility. Role Description The Consultant General Physician will provide general medical and relevant specialty services for the hospital and it's Medical Assessment Unit. This role within the hospital will provide a full range of physician services while additionally providing specialist services. They will contribute to and maintain all aspects of the existing general medical service, including providing a service to inpatients and outpatients at the hospital. The Consultant/s will participate in the rota of physicians covering MAU. The successful applicants will have at least 5 years satisfactory experience in the practice of the medical profession, including 3 years subspecialty experience. Contract type: Private Privileged Admitting Consultant What we offer:We offer a compensation package including support start-up costs in establishing private practice for the successful applicant/s Eligibility: Applicants must hold registration as a specialist on the Specialist Register of the Irish Medical Council, or entitled to be so registered. The possession of MRCPI and relevant specialty qualification.
