Responsibilities: Greet Patients and Visitors: Welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner, offering assistance as needed. Schedule Appointments: Coordinate, reschedule, and cancel appointments, ensuring efficient use of healthcare provider's time and resources. Answer Phone Calls: Handle incoming calls, address inquiries, and provide information on services, appointment availability, and clinic policies. Check-In and Check-Out: Register patients, collect payments, and ensure accurate documentation of patient information in the electronic health record (EHR) system (Socrates & Power Diary). Administrative Support: Perform administrative tasks, including filing, paperwork, sorting mail, and managing office supplies. Coordinate Referrals: Facilitate referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers as needed. Respond to Patient Inquiries: Address patient questions, concerns, and complaints professionally, escalating complex issues when necessary. Collaborate with Medical Staff: Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care. Maintain Reception Area: Ensure the reception area is tidy and welcoming for patients and visitors. Requirements: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Excel) and Practice Management software (experience with Socrates is a plus). Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, visitors, and staff. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks. Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare administrative procedures is desirable. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
