My client, a well-established professional services firm, is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their busy team based in Navan, Co. Meath. Position Overview As the Bookkeeper, you will play an integral role within the accounts team, assisting with the preparation, reconciliation, and completion of client bookkeeping and payroll assignments. This role is ideally suited to a qualified or experienced bookkeeper with previous practice experience and excellent attention to detail. Experience in payroll processing would be a strong advantage. Youll work closely with managers and partners, ensuring client records are maintained to the highest standard and deadlines are consistently met. This is a full-time, permanent, office-based position located in Trim/Navan, Co. Meath, with the firm due to relocate to Navan in the coming months. You will work Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, within a supportive and collaborative environment that values accuracy, reliability, and professional growth. The position offers a starting salary of €35,000 per year, which is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications. This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly Responsibilities Manage and maintain accurate client bookkeeping records Prepare and reconcile VAT, RCT, and subcontractor control accounts Process weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls where required Assist with the preparation of sole trader accounts to review stage Complete off-site bookkeeping assignments as needed Liaise with clients to ensure timely provision of financial records and documentation Prepare and submit returns on ROS and assist with other statutory filings Support senior team members and assist audit staff with audit-exempt assignments Handle general administrative duties including phone cover and client correspondence Requirements Qualified or experienced Bookkeeper (practice background preferred) Proficiency in VAT, RCT, and payroll processing (advantageous) Strong working knowledge of accounting software and Excel Excellent communication and organisational skills High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines efficiently Full-time availability for office-based work in Trim/Navan Benefits Competitive salary starting at €35,000 per year, negotiable depending on experience Stable, full-time role with long-term career potential Structured Monday - Friday schedule (8:00 AM 5:00 PM) Supportive, team-focused work environment Opportunities for professional development and upskilling If you feel like you fit the above requirements and are currently seeking an exciting new challenge, please forward your CV for immediate consideration and confidential call back to discuss the role in more detail.
