Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available The role SSE Renewables are seeking Contract Managers to support delivery of Onshore Wind, Solar & Battery Development and Construction Projects. This role will cover the entire lifecycle of the project process from inception through to handover to our Asset Management division. You will - Provide end to end Procurement support for allocated projects, including preparation of tenders, tender evaluation and negotiation with contractors/suppliers leading to contract execution. - Developing and implementing Procurement and Commercial strategies to optimise business objectives and delivery goals. - Supporting Pre and Post Contract Commercial services to our business stakeholders. - Providing cost reporting, forecasting and budgetary requirements on an ongoing basis, throughout the lifecycle of a project. - Providing cost estimating services in accordance with project maturity guidelines. You have - A degree in quantity surveying or other relevant related degree, or suitable industry experience within the Construction or Renewables industry and may either have, or be working towards, professional membership of a relevant technical or professional body, for example MRICS, MCIPS or MCIARB. - Experience in Procurement, preparation of procurement strategies, compiling tender documentation, managing Procurement events, evaluation of tender submissions and negotiating best value. - Extensive experience in project cost management ranging from estimating and forecasting to budget management. As well as experience in preparation, drafting and negotiation of construction contracts (NEC, FIDIC etc). - Post contract administration experience ranging from payment applications, claims, disputes, commercial programme and risk management. - Excellent communication and presentation skills, strong commercial acumen, and a continuous improvement mind set.
