Contracts Manager

Orange Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced and driven Contracts Manager to take full responsibility for the delivery of a major construction project in Dublin for a Tier 1 Contractor. Reporting directly to the Contracts Director, this is a pivotal leadership role requiring proven experience in managing large-scale developments from pre-construction through to handover. You'll be based full-time on site and act as the central figure coordinating teams, stakeholders, and commercial partners to ensure the project is delivered to the highest standard, on time, within budget, and with a strong focus on quality, safety, and sustainability. Responsibilites: Take full ownership of the day-to-day delivery and strategic direction of a flagship project, acting as the senior point of contact on site. Lead a multidisciplinary construction team, ensuring works are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory and environmental standards. Serve as the primary liaison with the client and design team, maintaining consistent communication and building strong professional relationships. Oversee the planning and implementation of the Project Execution Plan, including procurement strategy, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management. Collaborate closely with the Project Quantity Surveyor to manage budgets, cost control, and contract administration. Monitor and adapt construction programmes in partnership with the project planner to accommodate design changes or unforeseen delays. Drive coordination with the design team during construction, ensuring seamless information flow to site teams. Engage with statutory bodies, project stakeholders, and JV partners as required to maintain compliance and project momentum. Champion sustainable construction practices from design through delivery, ensuring all sustainability targets are met. Implement robust project controls and reporting procedures to track performance, productivity, and quality outcomes Requirements: A degree or higher diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years' experience working on complex, high-value construction projects. Proven track record in managing large teams and delivering projects with multiple phased handovers. Experience with precast frame installation and managing large-scale structural systems. In-depth understanding of current Irish building regulations and certification requirements. Familiarity with Irish construction and contract law. Strong leadership and team development abilities with a hands-on, proactive approach. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, particularly with clients and design teams. Ability to balance strategic oversight with attention to operational detail. Competency in managing high-pressure environments while maintaining quality and safety.
