Quality Manager 

Here at Osborne, we are hiring for a Quality Manager on behalf of one of our well-known clients in the Manufacturing Industry. This company is committed to excellence in quality and customer satisfaction. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Quality Manager to join their team and uphold their commitment to exceptional quality standards.
Ensure the effective implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) through robust controls to deliver safe, high-quality products that meet customer specifications. Lead the QA team and oversee regulatory, third-party, and customer inspections to ensure successful outcomes.

Location: Gowran Co. Kilkenny
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time role
Salary: €45,000-55,000 (Depending on Experience)

Key Responsibilities:


Develop and implement Food Safety, HACCP, TACCP, and QMS, leading relevant team meetings.
Drive the site’s Food Safety Culture plan.
Ensure all product and environmental testing is completed on schedule, with effective pathogen control measures.
Maintain customer-specific standards and close any identified gaps.
Prepare for and lead regulatory, BRC, and customer audits, ensuring timely follow-up and close-out reports.
Liaise with Inspectors and manage the Department of Agriculture relationship.
Support crisis and incident management for food safety issues.
Manage and challenge QA team performance in key areas (calibration, microbiological testing, shelf life, etc.).
Ensure timely internal audits of QMS and site hygiene, addressing non-conformities.
Analyse and trend quality data (e.g., lab results, complaints, audit outcomes) to drive continuous improvement.
Oversee pest control and ensure compliance with export certification requirements.


Skills and Experience:


Degree in a food-related discipline is required.
Proven experience in quality systems and management (minimum 3 years) is required.
Strong knowledge of legislative, retailer, and BRC requirements.
Excellent organisational, communication, and team management skills.
Problem-solving aptitude and decision-making capabilities.
Positive, hands-on team player.
Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work independently.
