Overview A Semi-State Financial Services Organisation based in Dublin 1 is seeking an experienced Legal Cost Accountant to join its dedicated Legal Costs Unit . This is an exciting opportunity to work within a high-performing team managing over 1,500 legal cost claims annually on behalf of various public sector bodies. You will report to the Head of Legal Costs and play a key role in analysing and negotiating high-value legal cost claims, attending court adjudications, and liaising with panel solicitors and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Review and assess incoming solicitor bills of costs

Represent the organisation at Circuit and High Court adjudications

Negotiate settlements to achieve significant cost savings

Manage a high-volume and varied legal costs caseload

Liaise with panel firms and internal claims/legal teams

Contribute to continuous improvement across legal cost functions

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

5+ years’ experience working in a legal costs environment

Strong knowledge of Irish legal cost procedures

Excellent negotiation, judgement, and analytical skills

Outstanding communication and report-writing abilities

Membership of a recognised legal or cost accounting body (desirable)
