Job type: Full-time, permanent

Our client, a leading manufacturer, is keen to welcome an experienced Cost Accountant to join their growing Finance team.

Responsibilities

- Prepare journal entries to support accurate & timely financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, participating in month-close activities
- Margin variance and risk analysis, monitoring variances to standard cost and investigate significant differences
- Calculate standard costing of products in SAP, driving consistency and standardization of cost accounting
- Finance lead on costing process improvement projects and providing guidance on customer pricing simulations
- Business partner with stakeholders of all levels of the business (internal/external)
- Audit and ad-hoc duties as required

Requirements

- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 5 years’ PQE in cost accounting, ideally a manufacturing background
- Self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative
- Knowledge of lean initiatives and ability to drive continuous improvement
- Advanced Excel skills, knowledge of Power BI for intelligence reporting
- Familiarity with SAP and IFRS an advantage
