Our client, a leading international organisation with operations across Ireland and Europe, has an urgent requirement for a Group Project & Commercial Accountant to join their growing finance team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and commercially focused accounting professional to play a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement across a diverse portfolio of projects.

? Key Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Reporting

- Produce and distribute weekly cost and revenue reports to senior stakeholders with detailed trend analysis.
- Issue monthly cost reports to commercial teams across multiple sites in Ireland and Europe.
- Present monthly updates to senior leadership covering revenue, cost, and margin trends.
- Liaise with operational teams to clarify submissions and resolve queries.
- Identify and escalate key discussion points for weekly and monthly reviews.

Cost Control & Budgeting

- Monitor project spend and ensure accurate cost tracking and budget adherence.
- Partner with commercial teams to provide insightful financial commentary and support decision-making.

Contract / Revenue Accounting

- Apply knowledge of revenue recognition, contract accounting, and work-in-progress (WIP) accounting.

Report Development & Enhancements

- Support the development and enhancement of reporting tools using Power BI to deliver improved financial insights.

✅ Requirements:

- Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and commercial finance.
- Experience working in a multi-site or project-based environment.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in data visualisation and reporting tools, particularly Power BI.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively across teams and regions.
