Logistics Manager

We are currently assisting a client of ours in recruiting a Logistics Manager to work alongside the Transport Manager in ensuring all deliveries are managed and delivered to the highest standard. The Logistics Manager role is working with a small logistics company based in Dublin 15.
Due to the location in Dublin 15, this area is not serviced by public transport.

Salary & Benefits:

€50,000    
Monday to Friday 8.30am – 6pm
Canteen

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage our transport software system (Move IT) and GPS tracking systems (Thermoking and SmartTrack)
Plan and schedule fleet routes, including driver allocations and route optimisation
Monitor and manage fleet maintenance, tachograph hours, and driver performance
Review and approve driver timesheets to ensure accuracy and compliance
Proactively identify and resolve customer issues, providing efficient and professional solutions
Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, regulatory standards, and GDP (Good Distribution Practice) guidelines
Book jobs through Move IT, prepare next-day delivery documentation, and record/file PODs (Proof of Delivery Dockets)
Assist with customs documentation where required – experience is a strong advantage
Report directly to the Transport Manager with regular operational performance updates and cost analysis for ongoing improvement

Key Requirements:

Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail
Proven experience in fleet planning and driver scheduling
Familiarity with fleet tracking, vehicle maintenance, and compliance monitoring
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Working knowledge of Move IT, Thermoking, and SmartTrack systems – or similar platforms (training will be provided)
Understanding of GDP guidelines and transport regulations
Previous experience with customs documentation (preferred but not essential)
A proactive, analytical mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvements
