React Native Mobile App Developer Hybrid, Dublin About the Company My client is a major Irish infrastructure organisation managing large-scale public infrastructure and high-volume operations. Based in north Dublin, the Technology team is driving digital transformation across complex operational environments, developing mobile applications that enhance user experience and improve the efficiency of day-to-day operations. About the Position Youll be joining a digital innovation team dedicated to building modern, scalable mobile applications that improve both customer and operational experiences. As a Mobile Software Developer, youll design and develop cross-platform mobile applications using React Native, collaborating closely with designers, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality products across iOS and Android platforms. Key Responsibilities Design, Develop and maintain high-quality mobile applications using react Native that provide a seamless user experience across iOS and Android platforms. Collaborate with designers and business stakeholders to implement quality interfaces optimised for mobile devices. Write clean, maintainable, efficient code ensuring best practices in mobile development are followed. Help create and Integrate APIs and third-party services. Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure code quality. Work closely with cross functional teams including designers, developers and business stakeholders. Participate in agile ceremonies such as planning, standups and retrospectives. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Communicate effectively with stake holders and business units to better understand the need and ensure its being met through technical specifications. Create and maintain technical documentation for web applications, including setup, guides and API documentation. Experience/Requirements 3+ years building cross-platform React Native mobile applications Experience with iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Java/Kotlin) fundamentals Proven track record publishing apps to Apple App Store and Google Play Store Strong experience consuming RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints Experience integrating payment processors, analytics, push notifications, and social media SDKs Proficiency with Redux, Context API, or similar state management solutions Knowledge of app performance optimization and debugging tools Experience with app analytics and crash reporting tools Knowledge of mobile security best practices Previous experience with app store optimization (ASO) Unit testing and integration testing experience (Jest, Detox, or similar) Understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and responsive design Understanding of mobile device capabilities (camera, GPS, sensors, etc.) JavaScript/TypeScript proficiency Experience with native bridge communication between React Native and native code Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile app deployment Git workflow experience with branching, merging, and pull requests Background in Agile/Scrum development methodologies This role may request working some additional hours or weekends if required to support the critical phases of project. Qualifications Degree/Diploma/Certification in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field.
