We’re looking for a Field Service Engineer based at our **Portlaoise Depot.** * Generous benefits package (including but not limited to pension plan, bonus scheme, and Life Assurance)* Generous holiday entitlement, with the option to ‘buy’ or ‘sell’* A focus on continued personal development* Paid time off work for volunteering in the community* Access to our Employee Assistance Programme, which helps promote and support a healthy lifestyle **What you’ll do:*** Ensure the completion of repairs and overhauls on time, to standard, and within agreed budgets for both specific repairs and overall department budgets.* Ensure adherence to safety practices and quality standards.* Carry out the total maintenance of equipment.* Maintain the stock levels of materials required and ensure that the appropriate tools are in place and ready for use.* Report and document component failures.* Contribute to optimum team performance and capability by providing quality work to maintain and enhance the reliability of equipment.* Assist, support, and train service crew.* Test and evaluate refurbished and repaired generators and prepare test reports as per ISO standards. **You’ll have the following skills and experience:*** Educated to NVQ level 6 (or equivalent) in an engineering/mechanical subject (can include apprenticeship).* Experience servicing and repairing large engines (generators, HGV, plant equipment, agricultural machinery).* Good organisational and communication skills.* Good level of PC literacy, including basic MS Office applications.* Well-organised and capable of keeping a vehicle to GSCS standards.
