Overview:

The Scrum Master facilitates Agile Scrum processes within cross-functional teams responsible for software development, digital transformation, or process improvement projects. This role ensures Agile practices are effectively applied while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements such as FDA, GxP, and 21 CFR Part 11. The role supports validation, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives critical to GMP.

This is a hybrid role: 3 days on-site mandatory.

Requirements

Role Functions:

- Facilitate Scrum Events: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives with pharmaceutical project teams.
- Agile Coaching: Guide teams on Agile principles and Scrum framework tailored to regulated environments.
- Impediment Removal: Identify and resolve blockers impacting team productivity while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Support Product Owner: Collaborate to maintain a prioritized, compliant product backlog aligned with business and regulatory needs.
- Promote Collaboration: Foster effective communication among cross-functional teams including Quality, Regulatory, IT, and Operations.
- Monitor & Report: Track progress, team velocity, and deliverables; provide transparent reporting to stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Encourage reflection and process enhancements to improve quality, compliance, and efficiency.
- Risk & Compliance Awareness: Ensure Agile practices align with industry standards, risk management, and documentation requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate communication between technical, quality, and regulatory teams.

Additional responsibilities include facilitating sprint planning, daily scrums, scheduling meetings, updating progress, removing impediments, reporting risks, and ensuring compliance with global policies and GMP standards.

Knowledge, Skills & Education:

- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience with digital systems, software platforms, or industrial control systems.
- Strong knowledge of system integration, networking, databases, and cybersecurity.
- Proficiency with industry-specific digital tools (e.g., SCADA, MES, ERP, cloud services).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, cybersecurity) are a plus.
