This position is based at our Luxembourg headquarters and requires regular office presence. The EIB offers you the opportunity to live and work in a truly international and multi‑cultural environment.
Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st March/April 2026). With possible extension up to 6 months if required by University. Only applications from nationals of the Member States of the European Union, as well as citizens from countries that have been officially granted candidate status to join the EU, can be considered (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey, and Ukraine). Candidates whose Erasmus+ programme overlaps with the duration of the traineeship will not be considered. Please note that you are requested to limit your applications to a maximum of three traineeship publications; we will only consider and retain the first three applications submitted.
Responsibilities
Produce timely and professionally crafted reporting which will be shared with external stakeholders.
Keep up-to-date the monitoring status of the mandates.
Prepare briefings/presentations, with graphs and charts, and other ad‑hoc tasks and requests by Management.
Support the monitoring of the business plan in terms of signatures and disbursements across EIB Global geographies, namely Enlargement and Neighbourhood Countries, Sub‑Saharan Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Asia and the Pacific.
Academic Qualifications And Professional Skills
Final year of studies or university degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent.
A first experience and/or understanding or interest in development and climate finance will be considered an advantage.
Good to advanced knowledge of MS Office software, in particular Excel, Word and Power Point.
Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Good knowledge of French would be an advantage.
