Our client, a respected design consultancy based in Dublin, is seeking a Sustainability Engineer with a strong mechanical engineering background to join their growing team.

In this exciting position, you'll play a crucial part in shaping sustainable outcomes across a diverse range of commercial, residential, and healthcare projects. You’ll be involved from concept to completion, applying your expertise in energy modeling and mechanical design to develop efficient, high-performance building systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver energy models and simulations to guide sustainable design strategies
2. Design mechanical systems with a focus on energy efficiency and sustainability
3. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including architects, contractors, and sustainability consultants
4. Support compliance with local and international sustainability standards and regulations
5. Provide technical input during design stages and contribute to project documentation

To be considered for this role, you should have the following:

1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
2. Proven experience in a similar role within a consultancy or building design environment
3. Proficiency in energy modeling software (e.g., IES VE, TAS, or similar)
4. Strong knowledge of heat load calculations and mechanical systems design
5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
