The Network Region Build team is at the core of this effort. We deploy and scale the network fabrics, edge connectivity, backbone, and data center infrastructure that enable OCI’s global cloud footprint. This includes driving automation, operational excellence, and continuous innovation to meet the needs of our rapidly growing customer base.
The Role We are seeking a Director of Network Development to lead our global network build deployment team in one of our strategic locations. This senior leader will provide vision, strategy, and technical oversight for network infrastructure programs that span regions worldwide. The role combines hands-on leadership of high-performing engineering teams with executive-level engagement across Oracle’s cloud business.

What You’ll Do Leadership & Strategy Build and scale a world-class team of engineers and managers responsible for global network deployments.
Define and execute a multi-year roadmap to meet the scale, availability, and performance needs of OCI customers.
Serve as a strategic partner to senior executives, shaping the direction of Oracle’s global cloud network.
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Technical & Program Oversight Provide executive guidance on technology choices, vendor strategy, and architectural design.
Oversee large-scale data center fabrics, backbone networks, and edge connectivity programs.
Drive automation initiatives to accelerate delivery and reduce operational complexity.
Ensure that all network designs meet the highest standards of security, compliance, and resiliency.
Collaboration & Execution Partner with product, engineering, and operations teams to align network delivery with business goals.
Lead incident response for high-impact network events and drive long-term improvements in resiliency.
Establish and track key metrics to measure delivery velocity, operational quality, and customer impact.
Responsibilities What We’re Looking For 10+ years of experience building and operating large-scale, highly available networks (cloud, ISP, or hyperscale environments).
7+ years of leadership experience, including managing managers and distributed teams.
Strong expertise in data center fabrics, backbone networks, and advanced routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN).
Demonstrated ability to create and execute technical and organizational strategy.
Proven success influencing at the executive level while also driving operational excellence.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
