Supply Chain Manager - Manufacturing County Kildare

Reports to: Operations Director / General Manager
Our client, a leading manufacturing company based in County Kildare, is seeking an experienced and strategic Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimise their end-to-end supply chain operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for procurement, inventory, logistics, and supplier performance—ensuring materials and components are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives
- Oversee procurement activities, including sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management
- Manage inventory levels and implement forecasting models to support production planning
- Lead logistics and distribution operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
- Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with production, finance, and quality teams to ensure seamless operations
- Implement and maintain ERP systems and supply chain reporting tools
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies
- Identify risks and develop contingency plans to safeguard supply continuity
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team

Requirements

- Proven experience in supply chain management within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory control, logistics, and supplier performance metrics
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong leadership and communication skills
