We are now looking for a Hair Stylist to join our Salon Team JOB OVERVIEW: To assist the Spa & Salon Director/ Salon Creative Director in maintaining the highest standards of professionalism in all aspects of operations. To ensure all treatments are carried out to the highest standards and targets are met. To maintain the five-star level of cleanliness required. REPORTS TO: Spa & Salon Director/ Salon Creative Director KEY RELATIONSHIPS: Internal: All Hotel/ Leisure Club Guests All Ladies & Gentlemen External: Any external vendors QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS Good spoken English with adequate level of written English Fully Qualified in all aspects of Hairdressing & Make-Up. Previous treatment experience ideally within international hotel group. Have excellent customer service skills with a professional and approachable manner. Minimum of 2 years experience. A general passion for hairdressing and make-up. JOB FUNCTIONS Day to day responsibility for equipment, products, cleanliness and hygiene of the treatment areas. To be aware of all treatments offered and any promotions on offer at any given time. To always be punctual and prepared in advance of appointments. Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications (e.g., allergies, high blood pressure, and pregnancy) before beginning service. Anticipate guests' service needs, including asking questions of guests to better understand their needs and watching/listening to guest preferences and acting on them whenever possible. Confirm guest first and last name and type of service scheduled prior to beginning service. Address guests' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner. Arrange workstation, treatment room, and/or drapes, and check with guest to ensure guest comfort and safety throughout service. To use the correct quantities of products as specified by the manufacturer and not exceed that amount. Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools. Maintain cleanliness of workstation and/or treatment room throughout shift, dispose of trash and dirty linens, and secure supplies and equipment at the end of each shift. Responsible for keeping up the high standard of treatment and service. Check with guest to ensure continued comfort throughout service (e.g., comfortable temperature, , lighting and music) To maintain the stock at the correct level following set standards. Must attend and adhere to all training courses as deemed necessary by the Spa & Salon Director/ Salon Supervisor Responsible for achieving sales targets as set by the Spa & Salon Director/ Salon Co-ordinator. Ensure that daily sales figures are accurately recorded. Assist with demonstrations/ events as required. Promote and sell spa/salon services. Actively listen and respond positively to guest questions, concerns, and requests using brand or property specific process (e.g., LEARN, PLEASED, Guest Response, LEAP) to resolve issues, delight, and build trust. Partner with and assist others to promote an environment of teamwork and achieve common goals. To be adaptable and accountable for all actions. To cover reception as and when required. To perform any other duties deemed reasonable by management. Courtesy to guests and other members of staff at all times. Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment. Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor. Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions and/or report them to management and security/safety personnel.
