Financial Accountant - Dublin (Permanent)

We're partnering with a well-established company in the transport sector to hire a recently qualified accountant for a Financial Accountant role based in South Dublin. The Role
The Financial Accountant will play a key role in the finance team, supporting the Finance Director in delivering accurate financial reporting and providing insights that drive decision-making. You'll be responsible for statutory compliance, month-end processes, and reporting, while also gaining exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

- Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements in line with accounting standards

- Support with internal and external audit requirements

- Assist with budgeting and forecasting, analysing variances and highlighting risks or opportunities

- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support commercial decisions

- Complete reconciliations, journal entries, and other month-end activities

- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory obligations

- Partner with stakeholders across the business to support efficiency and deliver on budget targets

About You

- Newly qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)

- Strong technical grounding with excellent attention to detail

- Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability

- Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage stakeholders

- Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with accounting systems

- Keen to learn, develop, and take on new challenges in a fast-moving environment
