VP Finance, Insurance Caribbean

The successful applicant will be responsible for the operational management of the Captive division. This role involves driving business growth, ensuring regulatory compliance, and building strong relationships with clients, regulators, and internal teams.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

1. Overseeing the company's daily operations and development.
2. Managing and developing financial and operational reports for clients, including overseeing client audits and statutory reporting deadlines.
3. Developing improved financial controls, policies, procedures, and utilizing a standard general ledger system for clients.
4. Providing monthly financial performance reports to the Head of Finance.
5. Seeking new client acquisition opportunities and supporting business development initiatives.
6. Liaising with local regulatory and government authorities regarding compliance and client requirements.
7. Collaborating with directors and senior management to develop new insurance programs and solutions.
8. Managing client policies, procedures, and specific requirements.
9. Performing other duties as assigned by the Head of Finance.

Qualifications and experience required:

- A professional accounting designation (CA, CPA, ACCA, ACII, or equivalent) with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience.
- Qualification from a globally recognized accounting firm.
- Extensive executive-level insurance market experience and knowledge of insurance regulations.
- Proven leadership and decision-making skills.
- Deep understanding of the regulatory environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to challenge and innovate in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation: Salary approximately $250,000, plus bonus benefits and a full relocation package.
