Electrical Design Engineer (Data Centre/Industrial)

Required for leading main contractor based in Dublin.

Assist in the design and implementation of electrical systems, collaborating with senior engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.

The successful candidate will have opportunities to work on high-profile projects across sectors such as life sciences, industrial, commercial, pharmaceutical, and residential.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and specification of electrical engineering solutions for buildings, to current regulations and design standards.
2. Working with the MEP team and project design team to define project requirements and develop technical solutions.
3. Pre-construction engineering activities including coordination of services and production of information (tender drawings, specifications, and equipment details).
4. Monitoring and management of projects during construction including site inspections, technical submittals, and RFIs.
5. Assisting M&E staff in all work relating to the safe and timely completion of projects.
6. Working with the team to inspect all installation works against the agreed level of the approved quality plan.
7. Attend project meetings.

Required Skills:

1. Third-level Electrical or Trade/Building Services Engineering.
2. 3+ years experience in a similar role.
3. Experience in designing and specifying Electrical/building services systems.
4. Strong technical ability and good understanding of current engineering standards.
5. Previous Main Contractor experience is preferred, ideally with projects experience.
6. Excellent IT skills – knowledge of Revit/BIM, Microsoft.
