Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our client, a successful start-up in the engineering sector.

The role represents an opportunity to add value and make a strong contribution to the continued growth of the business, offering significant upward career progression.

Duties:
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts for group companies
  • Assisting senior management with budgeting, systems development, and tax planning activities across the group
  • Ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are prepared and reconciled accurately and on a timely basis
  • Managing inter-company transactions
  • Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies
  • Ongoing review and improvement of Internal Financial Controls
  • Managing and developing the finance team
  • Ensuring organisation is compliant with Taxation and Statutory obligations
  • Managing Year-end Audit and interaction with auditors
  • Other ad hoc duties and projects as required
Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidate will be an accountant making their 1st post qualified move from practice to industry.

Role will suit a pro-active candidate with a can do attitude who is comfortable interacting at senior levels within a business.

Requirements:
  • ACCA qualification or equivalent
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
