Saint John of God Community Services Liffey Services supports individuals with intellectual disabilities to be active participants within the community that they live. St John of God Liffey Services invites applications for the position of Staff Nurses in our Day Services based in the Kildare area to provide support to individuals with an intellectual disability. Staff Nurses - Day Services (Kildare) Permanent Full-Time Post Ref: KDSND25-5-DEC25 The successful candidate must: Be on Current register as maintained by NMBI (formerly An Bord Altranais) and preferably possess the RNID or RGN qualification. Demonstrate a knowledge of the HSE New Directions Interim Standards, 2015 ( ) Have experience working with adults with an Intellectual Disability Commitment to delivery of a person directed programme Commitment to engaging with the local community and exploring options for adults within their community Full clean manual driving licence and a willingness to drive as part of role Desirable experience: Experience as a registered nurse working with people with an Intellectual disability and behaviours that challenge Excellent communication skills and highly motivated Flexible in all aspects of work Knowledge of Supported Self-Directed Living and the theory of Social Role Valorisation Proficient Information, Communication and Technologies (ICT) skills By applying for this position you are giving Saint John of God Community CLG. consent to have your personal data stored for the purpose of this competition only.
