RTÉ is seeking a Multimedia Co-Ordinator to join the RTÉ Player User Success team. If you are highly organized, passionate about streaming TV and video content, and have a knack for process improvement, this role could be perfect for you.

The User Success Team is responsible for managing user feedback, troubleshooting technical issues, quality assurance (QA) of our online video streaming service, and ensuring that content is seamlessly delivered across all platforms, including mobile phones, desktop devices, and big-screen TVs (Samsung, LG, Philips, and more).

Main Responsibilities:

1. Quality assurance (QA) and Quality Customer Service for all services on multiple platforms and devices
2. Editorial decision making and ability to work in fast paced environment
3. Troubleshooting issues with efficient and timely escalation of issues and defects identified during QA
4. Content publishing and monitoring to key platforms
5. Live event scheduling and monitoring
6. User Acceptance Testing (UAT), new product development and ability to integrate new systems into day-to-day workflows
7. Collaboration with other departments across the organisation

To be successful in this role you will need:

1. Strong organisational and project management skills, with an eye for detail
2. Excellent communication abilities and a collaborative approach
3. Experience in quality assurance, task management, or a related role within a digital or media environment
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in managing and presenting data
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
6. A qualification in media studies, software, project management, data science, technical or other related discipline

Desirable:

1. Experience using content management systems (CMS)
2. Previous experience working with a consumer digital product in an agile workflow environment, raising bugs, issue tracking, ticket creation, etc.
3. Knowledge of the current streaming landscape
4. Understanding of RTÉ’s role as a public media broadcaster

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of RTÉ Player as we expand our VOD and live streaming offerings.
The post involves a requirement to work various shifts over 7 days a week, depending on business needs.
