Job Summary Vision Contracting Ltd. are expanding our team and are currently looking to recruit permanent full-time Junior Project Managerto join our expanding team. You will have a direct reporting line to the Contracts Manager and will primarily focus on supervising the operational aspects of construction projects, with a goal of efficient cost management and maximizing profitability. The Project Manager is responsible for the comprehensive management of one large project or multiple sites, ensuring the effective implementation of Vision Contracting Ltd (VCL) processes and procedures. This role plays a critical part in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards, while strictly adhering to the companys Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards. For large, multi-sectional, or highly complex projects, the Project Manager may be onsite as part of a broader team. However, in most cases, they take full responsibility for overseeing and successfully delivering multiple sites. Key Activities Liaise with various staff and senior stakeholders, including Clients, Sub-contractors, Senior Engineer, Foreman, and Quantity Surveyor. Manage sub-contractors, engineering, and operational staff on site. Plan weekly work programmes and produce weekly reports on project progress. Oversee the site team to ensure key milestones are met. Manage the project design process while working alongside the commercial team. Work closely with the Contracts Manager and report progress to ensure the site programme aligns with budget and commercial objectives. Continuously reinforce the Health & Safety culture, striving for an accident-free site. Attend and chair weekly management meetings. Manage the complete day-to day lifecycle of the project, from initial stages through to handover. Competencies Focused on achieving measurable outcomes and delivering results. A proven track record of completing projects on time and within budget. Strong commercial acumen and effective negotiation skills. Ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English required for business communication. Drive to take responsibility for exceeding targets. Demonstrates a solid understanding of financial principles and cost management. Possesses outstanding leadership abilities and the capacity to inspire and motivate others. Exhibits exceptional communication skills, fostering clear and effective interactions. Highly organised, with the ability to prioritize tasks and maintain efficiency. Technically proficient and skilled in operating and troubleshooting equipment. Excels in managing and developing teams, fostering a positive work environment. Creative and resourceful in solving complex problems. Education & Experience Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Proven 3+ years experience in a similar role within the construction or civil engineering industry. Comprehensive understanding of the demands and expectations of the role in a dynamic environment.
