Summary

Our client is a leading biopharmaceutical company based in Cork, dedicated to developing and delivering innovative medicines that improve patients’ lives. Their state-of-the-art facility supports a diverse portfolio of products, with a strong focus on quality, compliance, and operational excellence. They are looking for a Senior Process/Project Engineer to join the Engineering team. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in process and project engineering within the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical sector, with proven expertise in project delivery and commissioning & qualification (C&Q) processes.

Responsibilities

- Lead and support process engineering and capital projects from concept through to execution, ensuring alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
- Manage project delivery activities including scope development, scheduling, budgeting, risk assessment, and stakeholder management.
- Oversee commissioning and qualification (C&Q) of equipment, systems, and facilities in compliance with GMP and industry standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, EHS, and Validation teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes and systems.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance, reliability, and compliance.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.

Qualifications & Experience

- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Biopharmaceutical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in process and project engineering within the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry.
- Proven track record in project delivery, including managing timelines, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong expertise in commissioning and qualification (C&Q) processes.
- Excellent knowledge of GMP regulations and industry standards.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
