Excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join a leading team in Cork Project Engineer (Water & Wastewater Design) with 2-4 years experience required to join a multidisciplinary architecture & engineering consultancy in Cork. The Cork team focuses on designing sustainable water and wastewater infrastructure, aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and delivering community benefits. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team with a strong pipeline for national utilities and designbuild contractors, gaining experience across the full project lifecycle with excellent mentorship from Chartered Engineers and clear progression to Chartership. Sample Projects: Wastewater Treatment Plant upgrades & network resilience programmes Regional water supply schemes & trunk main reinforcement Urban drainage, stormwater management & nature-based solutions Designbuild collaborations for water & wastewater infrastructure Requirements: Level 8 or Level 9 Degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering 24 years experience on water/wastewater design projects within a consultancy or designbuild environment. Working knowledge of Irish Water/UDI standards, codes of practice and relevant design guidelines. Strong understanding of hydraulic modelling, network and treatment process design, and preparation of design reports/specifications/tender docs. Proficient with AutoCAD and familiar with Civil 3D and MicroDrainage/InfoWorks ICM (or similar); GIS experience a plus. Demonstrated experience in project coordination/management: client/stakeholder communication, programme management, progress reporting; ability to work effectively in local and remote teams and manage sub-consultants. Should be preparing to reach Chartered status with Engineers Ireland; excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills.
