Overview Position: Head of Finance
Location: West Dublin
Reporting to: CFO
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Role Overview
A reputable client of ours is looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of Finance to join the senior leadership team in West Dublin.
Key Responsibilities Own the full financial management of the business — from strategic planning to day-to-day operations.
Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
Oversee financial reporting and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes.
Develop and maintain robust internal controls and compliance frameworks.
Lead and develop a growing finance team; manage performance reviews, career development, and succession planning.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level finance staff.
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, HR, and commercial teams to drive business performance.
Strategic Business Partnering Partner with senior leadership to align financial strategy with business goals.
Provide commercial insight to support pricing strategies, cost optimization, and investment decisions.
Participate in strategic projects including expansion, M&A, and system implementations.
Regulatory & Risk Management Ensure compliance with Irish GAAP/IFRS, tax regulations, and legal requirements.
Manage external audits and liaise with banks, insurers, and regulatory bodies.
Identify and mitigate financial risks across the business.
Key Requirements Education & Experience
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Minimum 8 years of experience in senior finance roles.
Strong background in logistics, supply chain, distribution, or a similar fast-paced environment (preferred).
Managed teams of 8-15+ people.
