An ambitious and growing SME is looking for a proactive and experienced Accountant to join its finance team. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to make a real impact across the business, ensuring financial stability, insightful reporting, and effective resource allocation. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with clear analysis
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and day-to-day financial tracking
- Investigate and explain budget variances to management
- Ensure adherence to accounting policies, internal controls, and best practices
- Partner with operational teams to support business decision-making
- Oversee financial planning for key projects and business initiatives
- Monitor capital expenditure and align spend with financial goals
- Prepare reports and dashboards for leadership and investors
- Contribute to the development and implementation of finance processes
- Support year-end and interim audits and liaise with external auditors
- Provide financial insight and advice to support business growth
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant financial regulations and practices
What We’re Looking For
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of post-qualification experience with hands on accounts preparation experience
- Strong analytical and financial reporting skills
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting software
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- A team player with a hands-on, solutions-focused approach
