What you need to know Our Longford based manufacturing client is seeking a Design Manager to join and lead their in-house design team. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Develop and oversee design programs, ensuring alignment with client contractual agreements. Handle all technical aspects of the business, addressing both internal and external queries. Collaborate with the estimating team to provide technical expertise and value engineering during the tender process. Partner with the Production Manager to ensure manufacturing information meets production requirements and drive process improvements where needed. Lead and manage the in-house design team, setting clear targets and tracking progress. Foster and maintain strong, lasting relationships with key customers across Ireland. Ensure all design activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices. Communicate effectively with client design teams and external consultants on active projects. Work closely with site teams to address and resolve project-related queries. What we need from you experience in Timber Frame or modular build design. Exposure to People Management possess the ability to mentor junior members of staff Proficient in AutoCAD software. Knowledge of Digital Project Delivery principles. Develop drawings for new and existing projects. Ability to read and understand architectural/engineering drawings.
