About Your New Job As a Maintenance Fitter, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all mechanical systems and equipment across the sawmill operate efficiently and safely. You will: Carry out preventative, predictive, and emergency maintenance on production machinery. Diagnose and repair faults across mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Support process improvements, plant upgrades, and continuous improvement projects. Manufacture or modify parts using milling, turning, and welding techniques. Ensure all maintenance work meets strict health and safety standards. What Skills You Need Time-served mechanical fitter qualification (Mechanical Automation, Maintenance, or related field). Minimum 5 years experience in a similar maintenance role within heavy industry. Experience working with motors, gearboxes, chain drives, and hydraulic systems. Valid driving licence. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor/indoor environment. Whats on Offer Accommodation provided to support relocation. Shift premium: All rostered hours worked following the shift rotation include a +22.5% shift allowance (applies equally to nights and days). Overtime beyond rostered weekly hours is paid at 1.5x the standard rate.
