Excel Recruitment is seeking a Recovery Driver to support the Rescue & Roadside team to provide high-quality customer service in Dublin. This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to work at the highest standards for the best benefits and salary. OTE €49,000-€59,000 (€40,600 base + bonuses and overtime). Job Purpose: To provide professional vehicle recovery services across Dublin, ensuring safe and timely transportation of vehicles. The role requires driving a recovery truck, managing breakdown situations, and delivering exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities: Vehicle Recovery: Operate a recovery truck to transport broken down or immobilised vehicles to designated locations. Assess situations on-site and decide the best method of recovery, ensuring safety and efficiency. Provide roadside assistance when necessary, including minor repairs or troubleshooting. Driving and Compliance: Drive safely and adhere to all road safety regulations. Maintain and check the recovery truck regularly to ensure it is in good working condition. Ensure compliance with all legal requirements, including maintaining a valid C driving license and a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC). Customer Service: Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, providing reassurance and clear information about the recovery process. Handle customer vehicles with care and respect, ensuring no additional damage occurs during recovery. Documentation and Reporting: Complete all necessary paperwork and digital records accurately and promptly. Report any incidents, delays, or issues encountered during recovery operations. Health and Safety: Follow all health and safety guidelines to protect yourself, customers, and other road users. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Participate in safety training and briefings as necessary. Key Skills and Competencies: Driving Proficiency: Skilled in operating large vehicles, with a valid C driving license. Problem-solving: Ability to assess situations quickly and determine the safest and most effective recovery method. Customer Focus: Strong communication and customer service skills, with a calm and helpful approach. Physical Fitness: Capable of handling physical tasks involved in vehicle recovery, including lifting and securing vehicles. Attention to Detail: Ensures all operations are conducted safely and without error. Qualifications: License: Valid C driving license required. CPC: Valid Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is mandatory. If not currently valid, the candidate must obtain or renew their CPC at their own expense. Experience: Previous experience in vehicle recovery or a similar role is preferred. Working Conditions: Shift Patterns: 8-week rotating roster with a typical schedule of 5 days on, 3 days off. Shift Premium: Additional pay at 1.5 times the rate for shifts from Saturday 8 PM to Monday 8 AM. Overtime: Paid at 1.5 times the rate for overtime worked from Monday to Saturday, and 2.0 times the rate on Sundays and Bank Holidays. Leave: 23 days of annual leave plus 2 company days.
