Morgan McKinley has partnered with a progressive accounting practice in Cork City to hire a Senior Accountant. Managing Clients on a daily basis in terms of their accounting and financial requirements, you will be part of a team of professionals working to ensure the highest quality of service is provided to all clients.

Preparing financial statements and reporting are a large part of the day-to-day work. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

∙ Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded

∙ Update accounts receivable and issue invoices

∙ Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations

∙ Assist in the processing of balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines

∙ Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned

∙ Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed

The successful candidate will get to join a dynamic practice who is currently one of the largest mid-tier firms in Munster, will gain extensive experience in all areas of the profession with excellent chances of progression.

To be eligible for this role you must:

- Be ACA/CPA/ACCA qualified or part qualified
- Have a broad range of experience across the areas of accountancy, audit & tax. Experience in consultancy & corporate finance is also preferable although not essential
- Be proactive, able to deliver to tight deadlines and within budget
- Illustrate excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
- Possess good team working skills and be a good team leader
- Capable of working on their own initiative and reporting directly to partner level.
- Have experience as a team led and or training others
