Finance Manager

We're seeking an experienced Finance Managerto join an AI Solutions provider who can be the strategic architect and hands-on operator of multi-country financial operations. You'll manage the finance function across four jurisdictions (Ireland, UK, US, Romania), ensuring they have the financial infrastructure and discipline to scale. This is a full-time position, where precision matters enormously. Where every invoice, payment, and VAT return must be flawless across multiple currencies and regulatory frameworks. Your financial systems expertise will enable them to see their business clearly - by sector, by department, by project. You'll report to the COO and work directly with the Head of Operations. Transforming the current Xero setup to support their organisational restructuring while maintaining daily operational excellence across all finance functions. What You'll Do Financial Operations & Compliance: Own complete accounts receivable and accounts payable operations across all four countries Process multi-currency invoicing and payment transactions (EUR, GBP, USD, RON) for international transactions Manage PAYE, PRSI, VAT and VIES returns for Ireland, ensuring full compliance with Revenue requirements Oversee direct debit arrangements and ensure timely processing of recurring payments Coordinate with external accountants for statutory requirements and year-end accounts Maintain rigorous financial controls and documentation standards across all jurisdictions Financial Systems & Reconciliation: Reconfigure Xero to reflect the current organisational restructuring and growth plans Manage reconciliation of bank accounts with imports from Spendesk (expense management) and Cledara (SaaS management) Ensure seamless integration between Xero, AIB, Airwallex, Spendesk, and Cledara for complete financial visibility Design and implement department-based and sector-based financial reporting structure via Xero Create monthly management P&L, with visibility by business unit to enable better decision-making Build financial dashboards and reports that give leadership real-time business insight Establish chart of accounts structure that scales with growth and complexity Payroll & Benefits Administration: Run monthly payroll for Ireland employees Coordinate with UK payroll provider to ensure accurate and timely processing Manage pension and benefits scheme administration and payments via Financial Advisers Handle contractor payments across multiple countries with appropriate tax compliance Ensure all payroll-related statutory filings are completed accurately and on time Management Accounting & Business Partnership: Produce accurate, insightful management accounts each month Prepare monthly financial reports with clear variance analysis and actionable business commentary Regular, granular as required cash flow forecasting across multiple currencies and bank accounts Year-End & Statutory Compliance: Coordinate year-end accounts preparation with external accountants Ensure all statutory filings and compliance requirements are met across all jurisdictions Support audit processes and provide required documentation Manage relationships with banks (AIB, Airwallex) and financial service providers What We Need From You Financial Expertise (Essential) Xero mastery- Deep expertise in Xero accounting software with proven ability to configure complex multi-entity setups and manage automated reconciliations Multi-country experience- Track record managing finance operations across multiple jurisdictions and currencies Qualified accountant- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification (or qualified by experience with 10+ years) VAT & VIES compliance- Strong understanding of Irish VAT requirements, VIES reporting for intra-EU transactions, and multi-country tax considerations Year-end expertise- Experience coordinating statutory accounts preparation and audit processes Fintech platforms experience is advantageous Operational Excellence Precision & accuracy- Exceptional attention to detail with zero tolerance for errors in financial records Reconciliation discipline- Proven ability to maintain clean, reconciled accounts across multiple systems and data sources Process discipline- Track record maintaining rigorous financial controls while keeping operations flowing smoothly Multi-currency fluency- Comfortable with FX management, multi-currency reconciliation, and international payment platforms Payroll expertise- Experience running payroll operations and working with payroll providers across jurisdictions Financial controls- Understanding of internal controls, audit requirements, and compliance frameworks Strategic Capability Management accounting- Ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights Commercial awareness- Understanding of how financial decisions impact business growth and profitability Project finance- Experience with project-based accounting, WIP management, and profitability analysis Systems implementation- Track record
